LWVNYS Data
Overall, the percentage of candidate who participated in Vote 411 in NYS was 222 of a possible 435 (51%). The 222 candidate response total includes all 9 (100%) candidates that ran for statewide offices. Overall, we had a solid response rate from Congressional and State Senate candidates, with a lower response rate for State Assembly candidates. The state Senate and Assembly races were lowest in the NYC area; this rate is because in many of those races, a “ghost” candidate was running as the real race was in the primary race. The data below is only for candidates in the November election; more candidates participated in the primaries, but if they lost their race, they are not included in this data.
