With Thanksgiving just about here, I want to give thanks to all of the fantastic League members and supporters who help to make this world a better place.
It is only because of all of you that we can remain a strong, visible force in New York State and our local communities. With our multitude of volunteers we are able to ensure an educated electorate, encourage dialogue about current issues in our communities and take action on legislation that is important to us. You are the League and I am grateful for all that you do to keep the League alive and well.
I also am grateful for the wonderful friendship and camaraderie that I’ve enjoyed in the League. As many of you know, I lived in a number of states and each time, I have immediately sought out the League knowing that I will find a group of interesting and friendly women (and men). The League events are always lively and educational and I meet new people and learn about new topics. League friends seem to last forever and I am grateful for all the friends I have found through the League.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that we also can’t stay strong and vibrant without financial support, so please consider a tax-deductible donation to the League’s Education Foundation before the end of the year. There is a DONATE button on the top right of the state website or you can mail a check to the office. Just please help us stay strong – for all the communities and people of New York who depend on our services and action.
