Changes to be aware of for voting in 2022

New Board of Elections websites:

voterlookup.elections.ny.gov – This site allows you to check your polling site and track your absentee ballot.

absenteeballot.elections.ny.gov – Go to this site to request an absentee ballot. Reminder: COVID remains a valid reason to vote by absentee ballot.

Unlike in years past, if you vote by absentee ballot, you will not be able to change your mind and vote in person on a voting machine. If you request an absentee ballot and do not use it, you will be able to vote in person by use of an affidavit ballot, but not on a voting machine. Your affidavit ballot will be counted once it is verified that you did not submit a completed absentee ballot that was counted.

There will be more early voting sites this year, and an expansion of voting hours as well.
